I'm new here, i'm from spain. A guy from racingflix have tell me about this board.

Well, the project is to turbocharge (or supercharge) a 3.8V6 camaro; yes, i know it's a **** and all the things you want, but that's what we have arround.

The idea was to upgrade it for 400-450hp, but i think the owner will be agree with not so many hp, but reliable.

A quick search pulled up some good info on this topic for you. Look through these, there have been many guys turbocharging and supercharging their v6's, most are under 400 RWHP though. Some have full system pics and links to other sites that have good info also, good luck...

it will cost you a couple grand to turbo this thing..... prob 4000$-6000$, for the same ammount of money you can drop in a ls1 and a 6 speed.... thats what i would do..

 

but if your stuck on turboing the 6cyl 400hp shouldnt be that hard... might want to swap pistons thou...

if i was you i would do heads/cam turbo.... that should make it easy-er-ish

i'm gathering some info from the net rigth now, and i remember you all this is not my car, is another's project, but we'll see in what ends.

can someone tell me what's a normal hp output on this engine without being forged? (with supercharger) i think owner's thinking about a kit from u'r country.

 

the SC limits you some becuase of the stress on the crank, however i know a all stock camaro that put down 416 RWHP with just headers/injectors/tuning..... with the same turbo i have, so its possible to do and it still running strong
