procharger intake airfilter solution.. check it out

On my car i did not like the orange flex hose they used so i called up powerdyne ordered one of there cobra intake duct and cut it to fit with a k&n filter that hung down... it worked well but would get really dirty fast... (this was done years ago)

Now procharger has a new filter that fits right over the head unit and work great check out what it looks like it...

You're gonna have to post some pics of that installed. Wonder how much CFM that thing is capable of. Love nothing more to run something like that and get rid of my ducting but I'd think you'd be pulling in some hot air w/ that being so close to the header. Nice nonetheless.

Plenty of CFM in fact the blower is louder know .. at full throttle with my cut out closed it sounds like a turbo set up ... this is the link to procherger application for that filter in the picture you can see how the filter is used on the hemi cars http://www.procharger.com/hemi_challenger.shtml ($47 bucks from procharger not bad )

below is my old set up

Very cool. Nice find. I may try that on my turbo. Can you give me the inside inlet diameter and largest outside circumfrence to see if it will fit my 78mm turbo?

This fits over my P1SC set up (I think its 4 inchs) I had to bend the tabs out a little to get a snug fit then I put a hose clamp to make sure it did not back off

Do you have an intercooler? What intake temps are you seeing after driving for a while?

cruising on the highway at 80MPH, I am getting abour 20-24 degrees above ambient. I know these numbers are still not the greatest but keep in mind, this is a 2 core intercooler running ~10# of boost to a 383, I should be using a 3 core.

Updated pictures

ok these pictures are not that great but the best i and do from a camera phone..
Procharger part # AF059I-001 / AIR FILTER - (A7600) RAW ASMB. 1.0 $48.02
Tell them i sent lol lol odly enough they do not advertise this filter i just happen to see it on a small little pictures on the procharger web site and said hmmmm took a chance and ordered it and it worked out freakin great happy camper here....

This is showing how much clearance you have from the primary tube (hooker 1-3/4inch coated long tubes) some may say its to close but with the coated headers its plenty of space..

excuse the dirty engine bay but i drive this car allot ..
