procharger intake
Guys,
I went out and did a run with my procharger molded intake and 9" K&N filter and got 14psi. Then I pulled the intake completely off and ran it with no filter and no intake and I got 16psi. I then put the Procharger molded intake back on ran it without a filter and got 16psi. These were back to back runs at 6400 rpm. At least in my case the procharger molded intake does not appear to be a restriction.
I might add that my intake track is a little different than most. After the Procharger molded intake I used 3.5" Pvc sewer pipe and plumbed the filter way up inside the nose piece next to the parking light. It sits underneath the headlight so I had to make a plastic cover so it wouldn't get wet when it rains. I felt a seat of the pants gain plus a 1lb boost gain from this mod when I did last year. It gets cooler air from there do to the fmic holes in the front of my air dam.
