procharger d1-x question

i have a procharger p600b and im thing of switching to a d1x. i know i need a different bracket and i might have to grind the block a little. is there any other modifications i will need to do. procharger was not much help.
some people said you just have to gring the block. others say you might have to do some modifications to the strut tower.

before i buy it i want to make sure its not to much of a project.

thanks

I have never heard of a D1 requiring any grinding of the block. The F1R will, however.

d1-x is the old race blower. It is from what i believe a lil bit bigger than the d1r. Just forget exactly it is what joel hester used on his camaro...

I have a feeling the blower in question is probably the same one that was on Joel's car..............

Anywho, my understanding is you will need to do some minor grinding on the block around the freeze plug.

Hope that helps.

Try and Call AMS Motorsports, they did a significant amount of work on that car, and actually bought the entire car (including the D1x). They have since changed combinations, and thats why the blower is floating around for sale.

Could probably ask for Keith or Chris.
