If you take some timing out of it you might be okay. But pumping an extra 150 horse into that motor is going to take its toll sooner or later. I blew my motor with a 9 pound pulley, but I got too aggressive with the timing. It's going to be a blast while it lasts

Please look at the reponses that I wrote to other's in similiar situations. You have to remember your car is getting close to being 10 years old. Things will need to get replaced that you may think are okay. Putting a SC on the car will make the small faults into big faults. I would say take a real unemotional look at every part of the car,(drive train, cooling, rearend, brakes, ignition, etc.) really see what needs to be upgraded and "fixed" then go ahead and put a blower on the car.
For me a SC lasted a very long time on a stock motor, but I also put the blower on when the car was only a year old and about 20,000 on the clock. In any case Good luck, and keep asking questions so we can help.

I love my car, but if I did it again I'd spray. Actually, when I do it again!

thinks for your replys I was thinking of spray but I don't know if I want to fill the bottle about every 2 or 3 weeks. While a supercharger is allways there. What do you all think between the two. I an still debating that is why I was warndering about the 8# of boost. And I have seen A cuple of people who said when they redo there engion they would spray why is that

Basically, what everybody has said is right on...It'll be fast, it'll blow up, you'll build it with stronger pistons and rods atleast, and it'll last a while...thats about all ya need to know

I bolted on a procharger p600b with single intercooler and 8lb pulley at 145,000mi. This stock 94 lt1 has been sprayed on since about 75,000mi. It is about to click 150,000 and no signs of death yet (knock on wood). I am actually considering spraying on it with the blower. I also have some of the parts being collected for the rebuild I know I will need sometime soon

I personally wouldn't worry about a 98,000 lt1. These engines are pretty well built, and as long as you watch your fuel and timing, they can last for a while with power adders.

i would not plan to boost a 100k LT1. These motors don't really last too long on boost in stock form. I would spray the thing. You can hit a 150 and not worry. That would help you way more than 6-8psi as far as your e.t. and trap.

I wouldn't go 150 shot personally...but yeah, even 150 shot has proven to be more repeatable before breaking something than a blower.

No one ever reports a blown up LT1 that has been well tuned, and not beat on. You can't hot lap the cars. You can't get too greedy with tuning or boost.

Most people who know enough about tuning and the cars in general to do the tuning right, just go ahead and invest in atleast new pistons so a mistake doesnt cost them the motor. True, if you keep the boost down enough it won't blow, but where's the fun in that
