powerdyne
Re: powerdyne
yes mine is whisper quiet.
You almost never notice it noise wise,
but even with the 9 lb pulley I hardly see more than 5-6 lbs up to 5000 rpm.
I like it though as it makes the car a real torquer with the boost coming on quickly with the 3.73 gears.
I downshifted once off a highway ramp at 50 mph and broke the tires loose. Quite impressive.
I like to take off quick but almost never rev higher than 5000 rpm. I could reprogram it with LT-1 Edit to go higher but don't want to blow it up.
I've got over 10,000 miles so far on my started with 28,000 miles 110,000+miles stock engine.
Ion's S/C tuning is working great with no pinging even with the 9 lb pulley since I disconnected my TP Enhancer. I think my engine will live.
I got a 1 way valve for the pcv valve so I don't lose boost to the crankcase coming from Ramchargers.
Powerdyne is silent, ok for a stock engine with some tuning and does make some real power for the casual easy user.
If you're a more serious user and want more than 6-7 lbs then I'd go with another brand but then you'll probably have to build up your engine to handle hard use.
