Pistons for 355?

I am building a 355 for my camaro that I am planning on running 12-15psi and a small shot of nitrous. I have a set of 6" H beam rods I am planning on using, just having trouble finding pistons for it. I am looking for something around 9.0:1 for a reasonable price (<$600)
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Stevie

Anyone tried these?
Thanks

Re: Pistons for 355?

Go to jepistons.com. They have a great site that you can see what you need for your builup. I am planning a fully forged 355 buildup also and I am checking on the SRP 24cc inverted dome blower piston and the JE 22cc inverted dome blower piston. They have a chart that you can check and see what your comp. ratio will be. You can also check Diamond's web site, however, they don't have many off the shelf pistons to choose from. I am just waiting on JE/SRP to return my email on which piston will suit my needs the best. I am also wanting to run about 15 pounds and I want to build the motor to handle more boost than i am going to use just to be on the safe side. With the heads that I am going to use, I will have about 8.0 to comp. ratio. Good luck.

Re: Pistons for 355?

I definetely wouldnt go with SRP's 24cc dish pistons, it doesnt even seem like SRP themselves have much faith in them for big blown applications. I went with the JE 22cc inverted dome pistons and they should hold up to anything I can throw at them. Some turbo guys have put a hole in them but thats most likely due to detonation. If your gunna have a poor tune that detonates, no piston is safe.

Re: Pistons for 355?

I've used SRP's (PN139632) in a previous 355 build. Didn't have any issues with them in 750hp thru 60+ passes and another 40+ dyno pulls working up to 850hp. This was using an intercooled D1 Procharger @ 19psi.
