Pics of my work in progress.
Re: Pics of my work in progress.
Thats the way the dual intank pumps came from Lonnie, I also came across a great deal on 40ft of -8AN stainless braided lines.. I think I paid $50? So it worked out quite well. I still have to pressure test the lines and hose ends I made and reinstall the tank this week.
I get a 5 day weekend this week due to 4th of July... I love working for the government!!!! Woo Hoo!

Re: Pics of my work in progress.
Thats a nice looking motor. I remember when I put my blower motor in. It took me forever because I kept finding things I "needed" to do while the motor was out. Tell us how that UMI K member works out when you install it. I am in the market.
Re: Pics of my work in progress.
Thanks 97WS6Pilot.
I wanted to wait until I actually got the K-member but their date keeps getting pushed back so I can't wait any more. I'm taking up space at a friends spot and it's $$ as we do work on other cars in the area so I got to bag it up. I'll give a update once I do have the K-member installed and got some miles under it.
Blown383 I got a 4 day wkend. Gov't is nice during times like this.
You got a helluva deal too on that braided line.

Re: Pics of my work in progress.
I can't believe what I am seeing. You are not only doing pretty much the same thing as me, but you also have a silver LT1 Z!
My D1SC and my 383 just got put in my 95 silver Z the other day. I also have a custum 4 inch front mount IC in mine as well. I got the tensioner done by SD concepts, but have had issues with trying to figure out how to set the actual tensioner in place. (they have no directions for it, which surprizes the heck out of me since the dang thing costs $500!)
Mine will be running with either 12 or 15 pounds of boost depending on the power it makes (I have a dyno tune scheduled for the 5th of July). I'll try to post up some pics to show you mine. I am just amazed how similar your set up is to mine!

Let me know how your tensioner works out. I just went 12 rib to alleviate the headaches w/ 8 rib setups. Sucks they don't give you instructions, poor CS in my book. Who is doing the tuning and what are you using for engine management? Factory PCM or stand alone?I saw your sig w/ the 60K thrown at the car. It adds up quick. Mine's been spread over 10 yrs and stopped counting after 75K. Could've bought a Vette or used 993TT like I've always wanted but I'm just drawn to 4th gen LT1's instead. LOL The funny thing about it putting all that money into a car is it never looks the part.

Can't wait to see your reslults from the dyno! Only thing I wish I would've done different is bought either some AFR's or TFS heads but I'm more than happy w/ what I've got.

Theres a couple pics of mine. I have a 12 rib as well. The tensioner works but am disappointed with SD concepts because it should have been much better for $500. I am using the stock PCM for the car, and now am not sure who will do the tune. It was going to be Bryan Herter at PCM's for less, but since he is now blocked off for a month while he buy's a house, and I only have a month left with the car before I have to put it away, I may have someone else do the tune.
Re: Pics of my work in progress.
This is getting weirdy by the moment w/ the blown Silver Z's. ha-ha!
CALL911 you have any other shots of that bracket holding your IC? Is that bracket from EPP? I've got the same bracket if so but I couldn't figure out how to use the som beyotch.
I just hacked away at my support member instead. Also is it necessary for you to use 2 fittings for your oil pressure sending unit? It won't work w/ just one or is it easy to clip the sensor on it that way? I took one off and using it for my AFPR instead since it will be sitting on top of the intake.
Damn, next time you come through let me know!

Re: Pics of my work in progress.
Yeah, the IC is from and installed by EPP. As for the oil pressure sending unit, I will have to get back with you. I have only "helped" in a small part with the motor install. My motor shop is doing almost all the work. As for the IC pics, I have a few more, but they all pretty much look the same as the one I posted already. Here's another pic or two of the engine though.
