Pics of my work in progress.

Custom 388 courtesy of Midwest Engine Tech. Thanks Scott Fulkerson of MWET and Mitch aka BADS95TA for all the calls, emails etc.

The beast in it's box.

Out the box.

Quick mock up polished bracket, Tuff Stuff alt, Turn One steering pump, EWP, TB.

F1 installed.

FMIC installed.

Still got a lot to do but in limbo until the UMI K-member shows up. Have to do the SS lines for the accusump and fuel lines. -8 feed, parallel at the rails, -6 return. Accufab regulator and filter. Once that's done the XFI will get wired up.

Nice looking setup.

Before you go thruogh all the trouble of putting it in, I would send your tensioner and bracket out to SD Concepts and get their tensioner setup. The stock ATI one has had it's share of problems.

I plan on doing that during the winter since I only drive 6-8 mos out of the year. I'm going to see how ATI bracket holds up 1st as I hear the 12 doesn't slip at all.

It's a 93 and thanks for the compliments. I had the engine built in the US and shipped over. I'll be back in VA in 2 yrs so I'll put it on a track there as we really don't have any good tracks here just old air strips. But that's better than nothing. F.A.S.T XFI is what I'm using.

Good luck to you! My 12-rib didn't slip, I just broke my crank snout 3 times, each time with less than 10 pulls on the motor...

New SD Concepts tensioner held up to over 20 dyno passes and a few track passes so far..

Re: Pics of my work in progress.

Awesome job on the FMIC mounting.... looks kinda familiar and I'm not so sure why?

I just started installing my dual in tank fuel pump set up and let me tell you.... installing hose damn hose ends is a pain in the ***! Also the electrical connector on top of the fuel pump assembly will interfere with one of the studs that holds the assembly down. So you're gonna have to use some pliers to rotate the connector.

I also found tons of crap in my gas tank so I flushed it out 3-4 times and found an ingenious way of drying it out quickly. Remind me to post pics later.

Are you running the BB hub style w/ your crank when it snapped? I've got the BB hub on mine and it doesn't appear at all it will snap but we'll see. What crank are you using?

Yeah I bummed off you. It looks like it will hang a tad over but not sure yet. I have the mounting bracket that EPP sent me but I wasn't in the mood to weld the bracket so I cut the support and tapped holes instead. Worse case I weld the bracket if it hangs too low.

I've already installed my pump and my god was that a pain trying to stuff both tanks in there w/ the float arm which is said it can't be done but I managed to do it. I ran across that problem too but I didn't have to rotate the connector at all. IT just required a little manueving and it went in place. My hose connectors are being done by a friend whose shop has the tools. I did one myself and took me a 1/2hr after that I was like "screw this". So it's gonna cost me some pizza and beer. Money well spent right there. I've got 20 ends to do in total as my accusump has some as well. Mounted that here as the original location wouldn't work w/ the piping of the IC. It's riveted to those strips and hopefully won't kill the performance any.

Post those pics too. I'll have to pull my tank back down anyways.

I didnt have the BB Hub style then, I have it now. I had a stock crank and eagle cranks do this to me.

Re: Pics of my work in progress.

Thanks guys. I'm @ 17yrs w/ 3 to go but I may stay in longer who knows?

I'm running a eagle crank but a high end one don't know if that matters but I know someone personally that hasn't had a problem w/ his and the BB style hub so hopefully I'll be as fortunate as him.
