Been putting together my fuel system for the impy, thought I would show you a few pics.

Here is most of the equip. 12an to the Eliminator pump running off the aeromotive controller, 10an to the Y-block, 8an to the rails, 6an to the regulator, and 8an back to the cell.

I am doing all the underhood in black fittings, I thought it would look cleaner than red/blue. Ignore the strap holding the regulator in place, I had to mock up the regulator to get the lines the correct length, as it will mount on the firewall.

Yea, Im still going with the twins, I just need to get the necessities out of the way, like a real fuel system and the XFI fuel/spark/boost control. As soon as I get the fuel and XFI on the car, I am going to have the machine shop start on the short block. It will take some time, but hopefully by christmas I will have the car ready for some dyno tuning with the twins.
Very nice, please make sure you use a real -12 outlet on your fuel cell. The Eliminator pump demands no inlet restriction. We should talk about getting some pictures after you get it together.....

I see you work at aeromotive, and I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions.
I really wanted to get the pro pump, but it says NOT for street use even with the controller(as per the pdf downloadable instructions on your website). My question is could I still upgrade to that pump, if I use a fuel cooler on the return line along with the controller?
My main concern is the eliminator may not be quite enough to get me to 1000 rwhp. To make it idle well I am going to use 95lb injectors, so to have the flow for 1000rwhp, I am going to run probably 50psi base, so it will see 75psi at full boost with the twins. I dont think the pump can support that much hp (1200+ crank) at 75psi. Would it be possible to run the voltage supply of the pump controller with my boost-a-pump, accuvolt, or some other voltage device so that under full operation, the pump could see 16v or so?

The ProSeries pump would no doubt require some type of fuel cooling. At 130+ degrees gasoline vaporizes in the inlet of the pump readily. The pump itself contributes to some heat as the motor in the 11102 pump will draw 20+ amps at higher pressure. The pump speed controller effectively drops voltage 20% on the low side. Its actually PWM at battery voltage but its like lowering voltage 20%. I would try to apply a 16v system at WOT. Just make sure the unit can supply 25 amps continuous with the Eliminator or 35 with the ProSeries. Our pump speed controller will switch 30+ amps, so an external relay is not required, just the correct gauge wiring.

Mark, what are your thoughts on running two pumps, A1000's, or Eliminators, rather than a Pro series pump for street use? 1 pump on constantly, 1 switched (either hobbs, rpm, or manual override).
1. Would you use the PWM controller on the constant pump?
2. What would be the ideal pluming, ie -8 from each pump, y'd in the back (near pump/tanks) to -10 up to the rail?
3. Check valve needed for pump not constant?
4. How much HP could 2 pumps support at 65psi in this configuration? (Either 2 A1000's, 2 eliminators, or 1 of each)

I am going to send you a plumbing diagram. Yes you would run a check valve on the intermittant pump. The volume doubles in that arrangement when the second pump is on. I would install a hobbs switch if you can find one that is reliable, otherwise either our digital fmu or a wot switch will get the job done. The digital fmu would allow you to vary the pump volume of the second pump if you found that you were unable to control fuel pressure due to the volume increase.
