holy **** someone is looking into this TOO much.

look you DO NOT NEED A CHECK VALVE ON A FI SETUP IF YOU ROUTE IT CORRECTLY!!!!!!! how do i know this?? b/c i have a turbo car.... oh yea and a supercharged truck....

like i stated before it goes like this...

valve cover > pcv valve > vacuum hose > inlet side of blower/turbo.

the only reason i added the pcv is for an average setup so you have somewhere to put your vacuum hose. most would weld on a fitting to the valve cover OR use a vent style cap like i use that has a 1/2" nipple on it. (like the ones you see on the exhaust vented system).

back to what i was saying... now you have this whole evac system plumbed to the INLET on your FI head unit rather it be supercharger or turbo. so what does that head unit do? it sucks in air through the inlet and the pushes is out the outlet thus causing pressure in the intake and vacuum in the inlet. ok are we following along children? hope so. so lets say you get into boost like 15lbs im sure that inlet of that head unit is trying to pull more air into it than what the "intake can supply (in most cases) so it makes vacuum... so its trying to pull this air in through the intake but it cant get enough so it starts pulling from that vacuum hose too thus sucking the crank case pressure out.

since in this setup which is the smartest one to go with since you wanna suck that crappy pressure out WHILE IN BOOST where its most important you do not need a pcv check valve b/c it will never see boost. if you wanna plumb your pcv into your pressure side of your setup dont come come on this forum crying about how you have the famous rear main seal leak.... you have been educated.

forgot to add... you can add a oil seperator in there if you want i would hightly encourage it.

i am very familar with this setup but however will never run it. i am not interested in pulling those vapors into my intake charge. ive read 100's of diffrent setups and its not the most ideal way to do it. i am leaving my stock pcv setup on the intake manifold alone but just adding the check valve, then am runnin a vacuum setup on the vc's. havent heard of many higher hp cars runnin the inlet evac system. and you educate me? lol!

Dude, seriously.... think about what your saying. do you even understand whats happening? If you would listen you would realize what your saying is completely *** backwards... under boost and even when not boosting there is pressure pushed into the crankcaseto ventilate that pressure you put a breather on the valve cover or like most manufacuters have found its better to PULL the air out of the crank case. To do this the go to the best vacuum source on the engine, the Intake. on a N/A car the intake is always under vacuum. Now on a FI engine your pressurizing the intake manifold so that doesnt work for a vacuum anymore, now you have to go farther out to the relocated "intake" which is BEFORE the turbo where the outside air enters the turbo. this area is ALWAYS sucking air since if it wasnt the Engine would die since you need air to mix with the fuel to ignite. By going before the turbo and not some crazy place like you described all you would need is a hose and a catch can.... why are you trying to make this sooo damn difficult!? Ive tried to explain this so a 5th grader would understand please go re-read the posts on the turboforum, Im there cruising every day. LS1tech can suck my nuts CZ28 rocks!

Not trying to jump in the fight here, just trying to learn
YES if the turbine is spinning which means the engine is running there will ALWAYS be negative pressure in the intake side of the turbo. Negative pressure=vacuum...

What is the point of leaving the stock PCV setup in there if you just going to do a vac pump anyway? your just asking for trouble. If the check valve fails your now pressurizing the crankcase!!! and you said your not interested in running the vapors into the intake!?!?! Thats exactly what your doing if you leave the stock PCV valve set up on there....
