PCV System Check Valve

I need a check valve for my PCV system so I don't blow boost back into the crankcase. Where can I pick one up?
Local auto parts store or is there a place I can order online?
Thanks

is you plumb it correctly you will NEVER get boost into the system. you have to go like this: valve cover > pcv valve > vacuum hose > inlet side of blower/turbo.

if you place the vacuum hose on the pressure side you are defeating the purpose of the evac system. you want to be sucking air out of the crank case while in boost to lower the crank case pressure so you dont blow a seal out. so if you place that vacuum hose on the pressure side you will only be sucking from the crank case while out of boost... no bueno. in fact if you plumb it right you dont need a pcv valve at all but i would suggest a oil seperator to keep oil out of the intake system.

but isnt there a check valve that people run in conjunction with the pcv?

No, and if they do there isnt a reason for it if they have it routed right.

well i know the pcv valve will not seal completly and when in boost it will leak. i thought i heard of someone running a check valve in conjunction.

your still thinking about it all wrong. you do not want to "seal" off the crank case at any time. under boost is when you want to vent the crank the most since pressure in the crankcase will blow out engine seals.

i never said anything bout sealing the motor, but just limiting the amount of presure leaking past the pcv. i will be running some type of vac. prob the exhaust evac system.

The Buick GN crowd has been using these for years; I place the supplemental valve in-line with my stock PCV. http://www.psmbuick.com/products_spcvv.asp

Ok they odiously have the PCV mounted somewhere after the turbo. if you mount BEFORE the turbo there is no way you can pressurize the crankcase. please go re read what others have already said about where to mount the PCV. Follow whats been said and you will never have a problem.... A check valve is pointless for this application....

maybe you should go reread. a stock pcv valve WILL leak and can pressurize the crankcase

Dude read that some more!!!! WITH THE VACUUM LINE INSTALLED BEFORE THE TURBO THERE IS NO POSSIBLE WAY IT CAN PRESSURIZE THE CRANKCASE EVEN WITHOUT A PCV VALVE... Please tell me how its possible that the open to atmosphere intake piping before the turbo miraculously pressurizes the crankcase???? ITS UNDER VACUUM 100% of the time!!!

That check valve isn't used for this application.....

hey whats your setup? are you fi? and maybe you should read some more bout using vacuum from your turbo inlet to pull vacuum from your crankcase. u ever get on theturboforums? ls1tech? alls i am saying is your stock pcv valve leaks, you can test that yourself (which i have done). some putting a check valve inline with your pcv will eliminate that, thus helping my presure problem. then im goin to run the exhaust evac, not the turbo inlet! the only prob people have had with the exhaust evac is it pullin oil out but you can fix that by using baffles in your vc or runnin a catch can. every setup is diff some people can get away with just breathers on the vc, i can not.

By what you're describing, the turbo should be sucking any pressure out of the crankcase. Am I understanding you correctly?
