paxton lt1 s/c...y they stop making?
is it a good kit? (the 6 pound kit) and is it reliable or......just trying to figure out if its a decent kit thats on this car b4 i get too ineterested, wondering why paxton stoped making the kit
Years ago Paxton was a pretty good charger ,but todays technollegy there are better ones on the market. I am having the problem of finding the parts for the Paxton kit that I have. I think the reason they stoped making the kit for the Camaro's was because it was to expensive for what it was,and there was better kits on the market that were a little cheaper so thier sales fell. They do sell kits for the f@%ds , but there are less parts to them. I have an address someplace for the company that took all of Paxtons parts for the Camaro kits if you want it let me know an I'll try to dig it up,it's still packed away from my move two years ago so it might take awhile. The name of the place I do believe was Paridise Tire ,but from where I'm not sure.
The new company is Paradise Wheels, and the guy's name is Craig, but I don't have the phone number or address handy...
Anyway, the Paxtons were ball driven, require more horsepower to spin the impeller, and the ***** wear out much quicker than gears (about as often as seals go out in ATI P1SCs
)
I have a paxton, but in my opinion, vortech is the only way to go.
