paxton head swap possible?

OK, I made the mistake of trusting paxton and summit for the type of supercharger to purchase a few years ago. They "sold me" on the SN 2000. Well, ofcourse, I need a rebuild. I have been looking at the idea of purchasing either a novi or vortech supercharger head unit. I am wondering if i can mount that head unit on my current bracket system? Has anyone done this? I have a machine shop that can easily make an intake tube to fit. I just need to know if the offset is off at all between the different superchargers. Hopefully, I can do this by using my current bracket, different head unit and underdrive pulley? I wish I knew of all of the bad feed back on the sn series before I purchased it!

Any thoughts?

You can try and call up Vortech and see if they can help you out. Since Vortech now owns paxton.

Probably not worth your time. Sell your paxton for whatever you can get for it and buy another supercharger, unless you want to put something that doesnt have a bracket made for it already or you are good at custom fabricating stuff I wouldn't even bother.

the paxton SN (balldrive) series was sold to paradise wheels. Craig Conley 760-740-0954 should be able to help you out. They can do a regular rebuild or rebuild with a better impeller for more boost.

The current paxtons (novi series) uses a completely different bracket, but the offset is close. The outlet is in a different location and will require a custom intake pipe piece as well.

I can easily fab an intke pipe. The thing I don't like is that the sn series are junk! you have to rebuild them frequenly! Hoping to get some sort of decent head unit or different charger al together. I'm pissed cuz I droped 3G's for this piece of shi%$%$!
