Overspinning the blower, how much is too much?
I have a D1SC and with my current pulley combo 6500 RPM is what the blower is maxed out at. Now, at times like last night at the track, I have brought the RPM's to 6700-6800 (the motor will take well over 7,000 RPM). My question is, how much is too much? Is me spinning the blower 200-300 RPM over its max every once in a while going to equal my blower going out? Or will it pretty much withstand the little extra RPM every now and then as long as it isn't excessive like 500 RPM over?
BTW, most times I do stick to shifting at 6500 RPM. The reason I bring it up a little extra at the track is because in 4th gear at 6500 RPM the 1/4 isn't quite finished and I don't want to shift into 5th.
