It seems like I will be over spinning my D1SC by 5k rpm. Are the max RPM's conservative? The D1SC is rated at 62000 max rpm. Ill be at 66500 blower RPMs at 6500 engine rpm's thats 4.5 k over. I know I will be cutting the life of the blower down some but will it hold or break real soon? The blower is on a Ls1 stroker.

 

My buddy overspun his D1Scs ( he had three) a couple times and they grenaded on him. I would try to get it a little closer to the redline

 

Yeah I can tell you for a fact not to ovespin it unless you want to pay 1500 on a rebuild.

 

5k is monster, ati was worried about me being 1000rpm away from the redline.. not over..
