That is some really clean fabrication!

INTMD8:
I have a question on the ceramic coating. When I called jet-hot to get prices for coating my freshly built headers, they were steering me towards their 2000 degree flat black coating. They said their standard 1600 degree silver coating would turn dull after a little while, and after perusing www.ls1speed.com I noticed your car has the headers done in flat black. Any insight into the pros/cons of each?

thanks.

Well, the black coating is definintely more durable as there isn't any aluminum in it to melt.

I went with the black on my car because I wanted it to look low key.

We went with the aluminum colored coating on the shop car, because the system is more visible and that car is more 'blingin'.

The coating will definitely dull at least the first few inches of the primaries, and possibly the collectors, but the rest of it should stay looking pretty.

It was coated by Lo-Ko, a place local to us that does great work.

Intmd8 - I checked your website but I didn't see any mention of an LT1 turbo. I would like to see what is available.

We only do custom systems specific to a customers car. (we don't offer kits but I can build you anything you want if you bring your car to me).

I am selling the turbo system off of my car if that's what you are asking about.

Here are some pics of the system- http://bdubbownzyou.com/jim/

Here is the system in action -

Incredible! It sucks to live in Cali... can't touch it without CARB approval. You don't have any plans to jig it up and duplicate. Is it really model-year specific? By the way, how much?

No plans on ever offering turbo systems in kit form. Just in-house vehicle specific fabrication.

The price on my system (used) is $4,750

Hmmm... how long is the install? Can it be done for Kalifornia smog every 2 years or would I be cursing my income into the tip jar?

Heat would be with any turbo...

Ceramic coat and heat shields is the best anyone can do.

Well, I could install the entire system on my car in about 4-5 hours, but I also designed it.

I would really recommend the system for a car with a built engine, good fuel system, and aftermarket engine management to realize it's full potential.

If you need to pass california emissions every 2 years, this system is probably not a good choice.

Hmmm... a buddy of mine was considering to register his car in Nevada. I'm not sure how that affects the DMV. It looks sweet. If there is a way, I'd be interested. Is there a way to de-tune for 650 HP on pump gas?
