Opti vent

What are you guys going with the opti vent line that normally plugs into the intake elbow? Should i put a small filter on it and leave it laying there? Right now i have it tee'd into the charge pipes so its grabbing clean air.

Im running speed density if it matters.

I connect the opti suction side to my blower (97ss - 383 - D1) near the inlet. The vent side, I have open to atmosphere with no checks and filters. I have found those to be highly restrictive to air flow. I have located the vent tube in an area where there is little chance of water intrusion. Hope this helps. B.
