o2 sensor placement ?
o2 sensor placement ?
i noticed since starting the car that on the scanmaster my 02's are not switching neither left or right and i purchased these new from the dealer a/c delcos afs75's but after about i would say 20-25 mins of running and the car warm they still were not switching the way i have the o2's located is about 16" or more and after a curb in the downpipe from the turbo. someone told me that they are usually placed about 6-10" away max so thisi s why i figure they are not getting hot enough also the car is opendownpipe or header with no exhaust connected would this cause them not to siwtch, having the exhaust open like so.
heres a pic of where i have them placed.

i have decided to place them about 5-6" off of the back of the turbo where i figure they have to get hot enough i pulled out the o2's which were new and they didnt even get marked up or blacked up from the time running it just smells way to rich and i think its because the o2's arent switching it leaving the car in open loop.

Well i would think that would work good. I see most people running them in the header side, but most people have a single setup too (and I read and read that pressure is bad on o2's)
Doesn't that car have the 4 wire heated o2's anyways???
