....i'm very unfamilier with turbo's and chargers and was just wondering if it was possible or fesable to use one on a 11+ compression 383 lt1 ....and if so which would be better or would work good for a street car and what gains i'd be looking at

 

Its possible to run boost on any engine, if it holds up for long is a different story. Generally, you will want a lower compression engine than 11+:1 when using forced induction. Even the lt1's stock 10.5:1 compression is high for boost, but some get away with boosting it 4-6 psi. Id reccommend not boosting an engine with a 11+:1 compression.

 

It should work fine if you don't mind running C16 all the time.
