New to superchargers

I was wondering what kind of set up and combinations you are running and how much HP you are making. I would like to get an idea on a future project. Thanks!

Chris is right. Just to elaborate a little though: each increment in performance costs (a lot) more than the one before. What happens is that successive weak points become more and more important as the hp goes up. Fuel system, engine controls, drive train, chassis, brakes, etc. all can become limiting factors as the power goes up. Mine's making over 800rwhp, but you probably don't want to know what it cost. I am running a "dual power adder" setup to get what I want at the track but have great street manners. The N2O + boost combo allows me to run small heads and a mild cam yet make big hp with the N2O turned on.

There are so many variations, it hard to know where to start. Is this a street car, will it go to the drag strip, how fast do you want to go, how much do you plan to spend? These are the kinds of questions needing answers before we can make any specific suggestions.

Tell me about it.

I'm already $5k into my project, and I haven't even put the engine together or bought a turbo. On a happy note, most of my C5 brake conversion should be here in a few days.

Your best bet would be to do a search. Like everyone else said there are so many setups you can go with. It really all comes down to how much money you willing to spend.

I want more power than a NA engine can give me. I figure maybe 600 RWHP or so. I would like to spend less than 8 or 9k if that's possable. What do you think.

I maybe wrong but I do not see you reaching your goal FI with that budget. If you sprayed the car you budget would be more suitable.

Just think about it. You will need a forged bottom end, blower kit, fuel system, tuning, etc........ the list never ends.

For that kind of power, I would budget at least twice that much money.
