Here is the video. Notice the big difference in DB inside the car and outside. I sound proofed(second skin) the inside of my car last year and you can really tell.

You're not running an air filter are you?

Yes, I'm running the procharger hard plastic inlet w/ 6x14" k&n cone filter. In the video you can't see it because of the lighting.

Sounds great. For some reason I thought it'd be louder but of course I'm not there either to really here it.

Yes, my car idles really low. The whine is not as loud as some others I've heard that have bigger cams. When the idle is at 1000 rpm instead of 750 it sounds like a train whistle.

Now I have a new problem. My ten bolt is making noise. I think one of the bearings went bad. Yesterday, I was fooling around with it and it dead hooked in second gear on some rough pavement. It sounds like grinding. Bye Bye ten bolt. Hello 9 inch. My wife is going to be pissed.

Second Skin. If you go to their forum become a member and get the "Secret Code" You can get a nice discount. The code is in their sticky at the top of the forum page. Then you order online and use the code. It is without a doubt the best sound proofing you can buy. I used the Damplifier because its thinner and easier to install. My car is as quiet as a Lexus or BMW. It comes with a price though. About 60 lbs of weight.

Very interesting. How much did you spend if you don't mind me asking?

I got 2 of the 80 sq ft packs and it covered the doors, floor, hatch area and rear wheel wells. I didn't do the firewall or ceiling. It was about $300.

How much of a PITA was it to install all the sound proofing?

It was a major PITA. It took 3 days of doing nothing but cleaning, pealing, and sticking, and trimming. I had to pull the whole interior out of the car, Including the carpet, door panels, center console, front and rear seats etc.

The noise reduction would be nice, but I just don't know if I could go through that much hassle. Sorry to stray the thread.

Beautiful and awesome car man!
