Well Rich, it looks like you are right. We dropped the engine last night to put on Cometic head gaskets and decided to check the crank bolt. It turns out the cog drive setup applies so much to the crank it had partially worked the bolt out enough to screw up my crank/damper keyways... My builder thinks that it's just too much on the end of the crank and will eventually bust the end off... Anyway, in the interest of keeping the engine in the car, I'm going back to the 12-rib setup. (thankfully I didn't sell it- had lots of offers/begging...) Anyway, I'm going to hate to lose the extra boost, but it's probably worth it. What tensioner are you using and where did you get it?

Thanks, TJ

I would highly recommend going with an SD concepts spring loaded tensioner.

Turns out the fluid dampr broke clean through at the keyway. I've got an ATI on order that we'll double-key and I'm going to get one of the new big block sized hubs that ATI is making for S/C applications. The have to make the hub and it takes three weeks. I'm going back to the 12-rib setup and will decide what to do based on how much hp I lose. I may go back with the cogs after I upgrade the hub. We'll see...
