New motor New Dyno #'s ......

Well I guess most of you knew that I blew my motor a week or two ago. I got it back together quick. I already had most of the parts to get another short block built. The old motor was a stock short block and heads setup with a CC305 cam and A4 with Vigi 2800 stall and around 10.8:1 comp. The new setup is a 355 with a Scat 9000 series crank, Eagle 6" H beams, SRP Dish piston's, and a Comp 224/236 EE blower cam. The compression came out to about 8.8:1. I went back for a tune last night and managed to still get back to 448 rwhp and like 485 rwtq. I did not think that it was to bad beings that we dropped the comp. alot and was still only making about 7.5-8# of boost. I had a 12# pulley on but the trip to the dyno loosend the belt up so that I only got 8# out of it. I went back to the shop thats been working on the car and it was easily seen that it got loose. Well I will fix the belt slip and take her back and let you know what I make.

You should be able to make over 500 rwhp, no problem with the 12-rib belt if your fuel system is up to snuff. Make sure you get hooked up to a wide band 02 sensor so you know where your at, ie rich or lean. My boost level was around 10 psi on the last dyno and was running rich, around 11.7:1 with stock timing. I have kept it this way because it makes enough power without any problems, ie detonation and it's running with no reduced timing.

Since then I have added a solid intake pipe, it feels a little stronger, but hard to tell sometimes because the tires just spin. I am going to get a Moser 12-bolt and slicks very soon, along with a stout driveshaft and new torque arm. I have enough power, just everything else needs to be upgraded.
