LPE doesn't do anything different other than put their logo on it.

Thats a pretty good price on that MAF. What all is included for $159. Are you an Ponyhunter currently using this MAF and its associated tables? How well does it work?

I'm not using that one at this time, but I have been considering going to it.

I use the Colorado MAF on my TBSS ....I will be using it on my LT1 Z28 once I get a few other issues worked out...I have no doubt that it will work well in a boosted app.

I think the $159 just gets you the housing... you can get the sensor from GM parts direct for $52 and some change or Im sure you could call ADM and ask Andy to supply the MAF sensor with the housing.

Larry,

Coming from the SD car, I'm not sure of how this works,,, But where is your MAS located? Maybe someone elee can jump in but I thought the MAS has to be relocated between the air cleaner and SC?

If you ran the car without the SC belt on wouldn't that at least eliminate if it's actually blowing out the spark or with the MAS?

When the first person I used tried to tune my car he said I was blowing out the spark, told me I needed to switch to a deltec and all kinds of other things for a tune to work,, Well in fact that wasn't the case. I contacted Alvin (PCM4less) and he tuned the car without me needing to change any parts. I have no clue what he did, but it certainly worked! Could just be something in the tune?

So what is he limit on these mafs(adm and lpe)? Im not going to argue the similaritiesor differences I just am using the stock ls1 maf on my supercharged t/a and it seems to max out around 430rwhp or so and then i need to go into PE mode and add the rest. what is the difference in max flow rates/rwhp that these will support?

I have **HEARD** of people getting into the 680+ g/sec range without pegging the meter, so who knows what the max is?

Ok, as I drive the car more and more, I continue to test and annalyze the issues it has...
I noticed the deceleration back fire occours at 2000 rpms.... it does not matter what gear or what speed, if I get outta the gas, and leave it in gear, I can watch the tach and prepare for the consistent back fire as it hits 2,000 rpms.... nothing up high.... and really nothing below, but right at 2000 rpms...POP!!!!!

is the backfire out of the exhaust or the intake?

Your backfire is because the IAC is letting air into the engine during deceleration. The fuel is cutoff during closed throttle decelerations. At about 30MPH, the IAC opens a little to ensure that the engine doesn't stall. When air hits the engine, you start getting some popping in your exhaust. That's not backfiring. That's normal.

I'd be willing to bet that the backfire is your fuel coming back on. Your vacuum probably goes out of the dfco range at that rpm when you decel in gear. Does it pop then sort of gurgle?

I have pacesetter long tubes with no cats run through magnaflow, so it always sounds like gurgling to me.... but the POP... is LOUD!

I have several videos of the car on the dyno, but for now, only one is hosted, Ill c if I can post it up, but dontknow if the quality is good enuf to hear or notice anything
