Need Blower cam for 850 RWHP Combination

I asked this earlier in another forum, but didn't get any feedback.

I Need Blower cam for the 850 RWHP Combination Below

Where/Who is the best place to get a "TRUE" custom grind cam for this engine.

I talked to techs at Comp, Crane etc. They just pick something out of the catalog. I'm looking for a cam specificly for this combination.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

What would be the best hydraulic or solid roller cam for the combo below. Looking to get 850 RWHP (streetable - 20 mile to/from track with air conditioning). Looking to run high 8's in full street trim.

I'm using a Dart block with Trickflow R-series heads in my 84 Vette.

236/244 114-115LSA .600 .610 would do fine with your setup.

Give Cam Motion a call. The way I understand it every one is a custom grind. They have a page on their website where you can request cam specs. I put my engine/car specs in the other night, and there was a response the next morning.

They have a catalog just like everybody else. Their shop is about 5 miles from my work. I haven't been very impressed with them. They told me that my 224@.050 with .605" lift (1.6 rockers) is impossible. The only hydraulic roller lobe they had with that much lift was nearly 240@.050.

I was told they have cam "blanks" that they grind to your specific specifications, instead of predefined lobes.

I dunno, I know most if not all of the big daddy forced induction (and many N/A) LS1 guys use them and swear by them.

They have predefined lobes and cams. I've seen their catalog.

One trip to their shop and I'm sure that would change. . . They don't have one-tenth of the R&D equipment that Comp has. No spin-master, no dyno, nothing. . . Thunder Racing is about 15 miles from Cam Motion and they don't even use them.
