I lost my brakes after I completely re-worked the ATI intake section. I was amazed how restrictive those rubber flexable ducting components are. I lost my brakes with 3"Hg idle and 13"Hg best @ cruz. I looked @ the hydra boost. Alot of work changing that out. So, I found a small vac pump system made by SSBC available @ Summit. Alot easier to install. Since I did not have any space up front in the motor compartment, I mounted it in the rear pan area. Now I have brakes. SSBC recommends 16"Hg minimum for brakes.

There's always something else when modding.

What part number for that SSBC set up too? I may look into that. From what I've gathered these cars don't like less than 15" hg for brakes.

Easy to search the Summit website for SSBC and/ or Vac pumps.
Pump works good, but, you should re-torque the fasteners in the vac head since there is vibration of the pump every 3 to 4 months. It can also be a source of noise, so, better if it is located in the motor compartment or outside the cab. I mounted my Vac pump inside-rear since there is alot of noise with the mods I have and I usually listen the the engine noise.
I do not run a vac receiver on the Vac booster pump. It pulls about 20"Hg. I did wire an on/off switch so I can divert all electrical power to start the engine, then, turn on the pump.

CamMotion,,,
231/240* @ 0.050" 114lsa 0.538/0.560" lift. 110* intake centerline. Currently use Comp ProMag 1.52:1 RR's. I also run an AFR rev kit with AFR 190 heads.

What power level is the 3.5" Mufflex with Flowmaster Race good for? I have this system with the long tube Y pipe and hooker 1-3/4 primaries on an older motor that made 450hp. Now with my new motor making close to 800 I'm thinkin it's a restriction. I'd hate to get rid of it, it's a really nice system.

Contrary to popular belief, supercharged motors are much more tolerant of exhaust pressure than NA or turbo motors, so you may be ok.

BTW, improving the exhaust WILL NOT reduce intake vacuum. Nor will a CAI.

heres mine: (spintech muffler with 4" catback)

I have the spintech and its actually pretty quiet at idle. Im thinking about getting a 4" cutout. What other options do i have if i wanted to swap out mufflers? I have hooker LT's into a mufflex Y pipe and clearance sucks!!

I have a 3.5" Mufflex system and there is a Magnaflow muffler that bolts right in and blows away the Spintech and Flowmaster in performance.

No, but it's pretty easy to sort through the summit site by size, model, # inlets, etc...
