Making LT1 ECM "see" boost

Ive heard alot about this, even heard one person got this to work. Anyone know anything about changing the KPA values so the computer will see a 3 bar map and use those settings to adjust for boost?

People have done it with a 2bar. I'm sure 3bar is similar, but the voltages might be different. Try doing a search on 2 bar map sensor.

The big problem with going to a 3bar is that you loose all of the resolution in your table. You are now stuck with only using 1/3 of the table for normal drivability when the car was designed to use the whole thing for it. You might be better off going with an aftermarket one that allows scalable axis in the map chart.

I'm surprised that with the number of guys on this board with technical backgrounds that no one (with one supposed exception) has just hacked the darn thing yet. I mean people do all sorts of crazy engineering things for their cars that I look at and am amazed. If someone can design the first box to convert the computer to see low imedance injectors, there's gotta be someone out there who knows assembly and can just mangle this darn thing in their spare time. It's been done with other vehicle computers for private use, and many times for public. I know there are legal reprocussions for some people, and completely understand that, but I'm sure there are plenty of people who don't work for GM who are capable of doing this and happen to be a GM car enthusiast. If nothing else, an inexpensive piggyback system in the same fashion as the impedance converter. Ok, I'll step down from my soapbox now.
