LT1 turbo cam choice

LT1 turbo cam choice
OK. Say your stuck with a budget, and are forced to use one of the cams you have laying around.
Which would make better power in a turbo application, the stock LT1 grind, or the LT4 Hot Cam?
Both would be using a 1.6 rockers.
I've been told that the HC bleeds boost, so maybe the stock grind would be better in the interim?

I agree. According to Corky Bell The stock cam is sufficient until you get up to 15psi.
"Stock cams usually work excellently. For the absolute last word in a super-boost (15psi) performance turbo car, a change of cam will be necessary, but so will several other things. Leave the stock cam alone and you will generally be much happier." - Corky Bell

I was very unhappy with the stock cam in my car, but in retrospect that may have been due to the turbo tech kit. That Turbospeed guy, who ever he is, seemed to be making pretty good power with it though.

You would have less lag with the stock cam, and less peak HP. HP peak would be earlier.
Hotcam would make more top end power at the expense of turbo response.
Personally, I would use the hotcam.

I am also debating a camshaft in my turbo build up.. I have a stock LT4 camshaft.. 115 lsa and similar durations and lift given same size Rockers... I would like to make some nice power out of this combination... somewhere in the 650rwhp range... any cam selections here? I do not want to completely loose my smooth idle, but some lump will be tolerable. I was thinking of this camshaft.. any suggestions...224/224 .560/.560 115 LSA.. think this will be a happy medium for a 355 that i don't wanna spin too high 6100-6200 MAX to help keep the bottom end alive.
