Lt1 Boost twin turbo Build Up
Lt1 Boost twin turbo Build Up
This first TT kit is on sale for $6500 complete with Turbonetics TC76's, JGS BOV, A2A IC, oil lines, and cold side piping! only things needed are slimmer electric fans and an oil scavenge pump.
Some progress pics of the Twin turbo setup I am making. This kit will support T4 T60 thru T76's and will support anywhere from 700rwhp to 1100rwhp depending on which turbos you use.
The goal is to retain the radiator in the stock location, thats why i mounted them low. You will need to run an oil scavenger pump(s) to push the oil to the pan (or up to the valvecover like the STS kits do). This kit deletes A/C and the AIR pump, but other than that everything else remains. I still need to do some grinding and clean up work, but here is the layout of the pass side.
The hotparts is for sale: $3400 + shipping (includes two 40mm JGS wastegates)

Send it to me. I will tattoo your name all over the car. Hell, I'll tattoo LT1Boost.net on my body if I have to.
I've got the motor/tranny/rear for it. I'll do it. You know me by now.
Not bashing at all RQ, you've done some awesome work, but can you clean up the transition between 5-7 and 6-8? Perhaps a prefab transition?
Are we going to see a tube version of this? I ask because I have run into issues on a couple of log manifold builds where we finally decided our issues where from reverberation from the primaries dumping into the log at a 90* point. I need to get some pictures up of the way I am doing it now but the results have been worth the trouble. (Every motor will be different of course, these motors have had a fair amount of overlap from the cam which has made this situation 10x worse)
And finally how do you fit your stuff? Do you have a roller you drop on top of it? Or a shadow box sort of frame? Or are you just that good?
I dont' trust myself to get stuff to fit so I have been stuck building with the motors still in the car which sometimes leads to a LOT of grief.
Glad you got things going again.

I am not too worried about endcaps vs transition on the last primaries. I can't tell ya how many kits I have seen built like this (from old school muscle to 5.0L mustangs).
This is how I built my single turbo log manifold systems ... end cap on the pass side log and primary tubes all turn in 90 degrees from the logs. Seems to work fine. Dave already made 574rwhp @ 11psi on a load bearing dyno with it on straight pump gas (no meth). This is the kit that has the pass. side exhaust pass thru the driver's side log. This kit will max out lower than the header kit will because of its design.
With this twin kit... it should be fine. I may do a true header kit, but the price will be too much for most.
Thanks for the input.

Trial/error and measurements till i got it right. Now I now wherre to measure off of when looking at my mockup.
