LT1 Blower build underway

I've been collecting parts since Christmas and everything is finally coming together.
I'm running a LT1 383 with a D1SC kit I got of the forum. The fun will begin next week when I get my shortblock back.
I've had a boosted car or two but never a supercharger before so feel free to give me a few tips.
I'm starting off with a 4.25 pulley until I can get a good dyno tune for the 3.40 pulley.
I'm sure I'll have a few questions about the pcv system when I get there
I'm using a pressure switch to run a second pump and a small meth kit. I was thinking a having the kit turn on at 6psi.
I have a base tune from Bryan for 10psi. I'm not going to change pulleys until everything is running perfect and all the bugs have been worked out.

Any help would appreciated

Sounds like a good plan to me. Just take your time and do it right.

I have to get into my rearend because of a leaky seal. Should I change my gears or leave the 3.42s in. I have 4.10s and 3.73s kickin around

I getting the shortblock back this week. I'm a little worried about setting up the rockers myself. Should I have my engine guy put on the heads and setup the rockers ? I put on a set heads last year and I always thought it sounded too loud. This year there is too much money involved if something is not right. He wants a couple hundred bucks just to put the top-end on.

Based on this and your other post, you either need help of an experienced friend or pay someone to do it. Or take your chances. If you choose the latter, read up on what you have to do in manuals or engine rebuild books.

With the 6 spd, you can be comfortable going higher than the 3.42 gearwise, but be aware the rear ends are weaker even with the 4.10 and it's spindly little pinion gear. Sooner or later, you will probably shred the 7.5 rear end. And traction will already be an issue. When traction is no longer an issue, then the gears break. I say build the blower engine and get it running right and figure out what to do with the rear end later. Maybe it will even make the decision for ya.

First Porblem

My procharger pulley will not bolt up to the ATI balancer. Does anyone know if they make a shoulder bolt that bolts up to a ATI balancer. The ATI uses a smaller diameter bolt then procharger pulley. I'm going to need a shoulder bolt so the pulley does not come loose and slop around.

I got the car running tonight but there is a lot of little things still left to do.
This week I put the motor in only to find out the longs tubes rub everywhere and will not clear the steering nuckle. So I pulled the engine and went back to my mac mid lengths. Then I went to put the y-pipe on and it would not clear the moroso oil pan. So I pulled the pan and pump in the car. What a pain in the ***. Got it all back together and it seems to have not leaks or strange sounds.
It should be ready for the road in a couple days.
