LS1 supercharger

What superchargers are you guys running on your LS1's? Which one nets the most power and a bolt on LS1 the ATI or the Vortech?

Procharger and Vortech both make good set-ups for LT1 and LS1 cars...

I know someone with an LS1 running the Procharger D1SC making 630 RWHP - but keep in mind this is on a built motor. On a stock bottom end with around 7 psi. you could put around 470 to the tires.

Do a search on LS1Tech under kp. He's had both a F1A and D1SC. There's also a guy called ProstockJohn that swears Vortec's outperform Prochargers.

The ATI Procharger seems to be the favorite around here. You have several options. I think that the F1 is the largest and most powerful, but you wouldn't want to put that on an engine with stock internals -- the stock pistons and rods can't handle the kind of boost the F1 can develop.

Be more specific about what you want the car to do, and the guys here can be more helpful.

The Procharger P1SC I understand is good at 8psi on stock LT-1/LS-1. Besides the head unit and pulley what else is needed to work on a stock engine? If it's a high milage car is the iignition a potential problem?

I make over 600hp on my p1sc. You only need the bigger blower if you are going to upgrade in the future.
