key or not?

Hallo
Im installing a p1sc 6psi kit right now and have a little problem, When i did a cam swap erlier i noticed that there was no key on the crankshaft so now i wonder if i should remove the hub and install one (i think it was a splines in the hub) or can i skip it for now and install it later when its time to rebuild and turn up the boost.

You should be fine with only 6psi on a stock motor. It would be a good Idea to key it when you up the boost.

The '95 doesn't have a keyway cut into the hub. Check out this thread:

I'm pretty sure all LT1's have the crank setup for a key. If you want to key the hub, you will have to have it machined for the key. I think thunder racing sells the hubs allready machined for around $70, or you can go to an aftermarket balancer like fluidampr or the ATI superdamper which come with a keyway machined in it.
