Just finished Vortech install!! Couple questions please!

Just finished Vortech install!! Couple questions please!

I am really excited. Everything worked perfectly from the blower to the injectors to the fuel pump to whatever else went on. I do have an SES light and a couple of weird issues and I will number them to make the responses cleaner... Thanks a lot.

1) When I start my car I have to keep cranking it for about 5-10 seconds before it turns over and when it does it sounds like its having a hard time, gurgling kinda. Then here's part 2...

2) After it starts the RPM's go way up to about 1700-2000 and chill there for a second then start slowly going to down the regular 900 idle and it's steady and everything.

My questions are what could cause the SES light and do you think it has to do with those two issues I mentioned?? I took the car out for a short spin never going over 2500 and no more than 25% TPS. It ran fine and idled fine except for those two things. I have a laptop w/ free scan (OBDI conversion) but I had a couple problems hooking the laptop up to it that I will solve tomorrow so I can pull the code. I just want an idea of what I'm lookin at. Thanks.

On the driver side head there is a temp sensor. If you unplug that, it'll throw a code and make the car hard to start and idle.


I'd guess its that or a vacum leak.

You went with new injectors? what are they? what did you use for programming, are you using an FMU?

I am using 38# injectors with PCMFORLESS OBDI conversion.
