Just bought Supercharged Z28, got some ?

Hey guys i just bought a 1994 Camaro Z28, Vortech Supercharged. I am not new to camaros i had a 96 383 stroker, but im new to superchargers.

Its got like 130,000 on the motor. The blower dosent look too old. I did a few things on the car after i got it.

I did the tranny, cause it was slipping and everything. I did the coil. I am doing the opti right now, also the wires and plugs.

My questions is, im running 9psi of boost i think. Its got the 3.12" pulley from Vortech. So i was told its 9spi.

How much longer is my motor going to hold up, is there anything I can do to prolong the life of the motor. I got a blow off valve. A few people told me it will help out the unit and the motor. So i got that. Is there anything else I can do?

Thanks a lot

Make sure it's tuned well. Add meth and/or an intercooler. Cross your fingers and pray to the car gods.

It gonna Blow!!!!

seriously, If it doesnt have an intercooler than you are running too much boost. I would get a boost guage hooked up and check that out asap. An LT1 has weak pistons and wont last long with lots of boost. A safe level would be in the 6-7psi range, thats what a stock 3.33 pulley will give you. 9psi with an intercooler isnt too bad but it will still shorten the life of the pistons. Usually the ring lands crack very easily. And if you are running this on your stock tune you are gonna have way too much timing. Plus an FMU in an inaccurate way of fuel measurement. Blowers aren't really bolt ons. Hit up the search key and start doing some research.
