I think its all about luck. Some people will build a fulllly ***** to the walls built engine..for a blower..and break it..breaking it in..some will build a budget more everyone says WONT last more than week..and beat the **** out of it for 2 years without fail..its all luck. My first trans am..it had 133k miles on it and i put it through about 10 bottles of 150 shot..with nothing other than 93 octane. The only things the car had was shorty-header back exhaust,CAI and an MSD..nothing more. Even a stock clutch. lol

I think if hes keeping it under 6k rpms the caps should be fine along with the crank. its the strongest part of a stock bottom end.
