Why would you want larger combustion chamber, to lower CR?

What would be better for a tad more?

Thanks,

because the best ported stock casting still can barely keep up with the out of the box dart 215s. Once you order your LE2s and want more power, you can get them ported to an LE3, sure....but what happens then when you want even better heads? Then you have to break down and get after market heads......so why not save the money and get those aftermarket heads first?

Has anyone seen what a fully ported set can do? Either on a flow bench or dyno/track times?

Yeah. Most blower/turbo guys shoot for 8.5-9.5 SCR depending on setup. You can run a huge dish piston but that can only drop you so far.

I just finished doing a search on this Forum and saw a post, I believe it was Bret's, that over 300 cfm flow has been seen. You'd have to go back to last year (or maybe 2007); I forgot which year it's in. I do recall it was a thread that many pages of responses, though. i wish, now, I had book-marked it.

Re: the chamber size; I didn't realize you were considering a force feed application. In that case, yea, I can see why you'd want a larger chamber.

So that price is for two complete heads, right? With valves, springs, etc.?

I'm going to do a Search on JEGS' site now.
