i am ready to enter the wonderful world of blowers

ok all, i am ready to supercharge my car. or at least start making plans for it. i am currently deployed to iraq. and in a matter of a year. i think i am going to be able to take my car from completely stock to supercharged. i think i have all of the parts that could brake allready taken care of as far as the driveline.or atleast i will by the time i get back. the only parts i have left to buy are my 12 bolt drive shaft, tranny and brakes. i know to some that might sound like a lot of stuff. but for me being deployed over here and the amount of money i am making. those parts will only take me a couple of months to save up for and purchase. all parts on this car will be setup and ready to go for a supercharger on this car except for the engine itself. so far i have always tried to buy the highest quality parts. so that i wouldnt have to buy anything twice. right now my car is completely stock(except for a torque arm and hypertech). all of the parts in the sig will be getting installed when i return. the only parts i have bought for the engine so far is a slp cai, hooker lt's, Y pipe, and gmmg exhaust and delteq. as far as the engine, this is what i wont. i wont to be in the 10's trapping somewhere in the 130's(i dont know how much horsepower it will take to get there. i just know where i wont to be). also i would like for this car to have a damn good top speed along with this. this car also needs to be set up for daily driving. i wont be driving it daily but if i wanted to. i wont to be able too. right now i have 10,000 dollars for the engine alone. that is the amount i have set aside. is it possible fo me to be able to do what i wont to do with the budget that i have set aside or do i need to save a little while longer. also does anyone see any other parts that i need to purchase to get my suspension and drice line in check. sorry for the long post but i wanted to pput everything out there. also if anyone know of any shops any where in the united states that can make this happen for me. i am willing to bring my car to them. because that is worth it to me to make my dream a reality.

thanks,
shaddrick

I don't know how much hp it will take for your car to hit 130 traps but you will need a lot more boost than the stock motor can hold. Getting a big enough supercharger and building the motor for it will take some dollars. Not sure if you can make the 10k budget. Someone here has to know.

Good luck with your goal.

plan on spending alot of coin to hit 130.

I went 128 on 575 RWHP.

P.S. Shorten up the sig, it's a c/h too long

I hate to say it but the cheapest way to hit 130 would probably be nitrous.

Take a p-600b/S-trim(12-14psi)
224/236 cam
1.6rr
all the bolt-ons
clean up on the heads
6-speed
cut a 1.7 60'
make 524rw on the dyno
Bottom end:

stock rods(arp bolts)
wisco forged pistons
stock crank
9.2:1 compression
only reving to 6k

This combo has produced 128mph traps in the 1/4.

125-130mph traps are good for at least high to mid tens. When talking about ET, traction plays a major part of it. Its going to be harder for a 6-speed to aquire lower ets's but if your good driver than it is possible. When it come to cost, it can vey if you do a search you'll see alot of people putting a grand hear and grand there and thats usually in just the fuel system and suspension. I think you can get into the tens on a budget for how long it will last depends on the parts you put in it.

i think i got just about everything cover except for the engine except.(i have already dumped quite a bit of money into this car). what about something like this. build an engine for boost. either 396 or 383. which ever will get me there the cheapest and easiest. but dont put the supercharger on it until later. pt an all forged engine in. with an compression ratio of ike 8.5:1 or maybe a little higher. get a cam to matchthe heads N/A. but once i sve p enough for the supercharger. just by another cam(one better suited for supercharger) trough on the spercharger and have it retuned. what does everyone think.
