How much HP would a twin T3 setup support?

Hey guys

Tried searching for some answers but you cant search under 3 letters

How much HP would a twin t3 turbo setup support? I'm not sure of what wheel trim and a/r yet, but if someone could give the max an average find of T3s would support, that would be great.

This is on a 383 btw

thanks

T3s are VERY small turbos. Somewhat popular on Hondas. On a 383, they would be way too small, even in a pair.

Thanks for the input!

How about T04B? 2 smaller turbos are cheaper than a single t76, not sure if that extra cost would be offset by the extra wastgate or not though....

I think a T04B would be much better. You will have to get an additional wastegate and BOV with twins, but you won't have to make a crossover pipe.

I could see a B making that much power without a problem, especially on a V8.
The big single pics were a joke to stir up some **** locally. It's a big ole Holset that was pulled off a commercial truck.

Twin T04S turbos are going on it at the end of the month.

Maybe 500hp. They're a very small turbo. You can get them pretty cheap though ($200 or less on EBay). They're pretty common on small displacement 4/6-cylinder cars.

if you're ambitious, you may be able to find some used T04's for cheap. They came on some IHI(International) and Ford large commercial trucks. There's some good info to be found
here. *gasp* A Mustang board!?!

A buddy of mine has twin T3 set-up on his 331 Mustang. He made 606 at the wheels. .60/.63 AR on both turbo's. He is thinking of going to a .82 housing though.

FWIW, I think a single would be a TON easier to do. I helped my buddy do the custom twin set-up on his Pusstang, and just one turbo would of made it a whole lot easier.

Try looking here for info on how to read a compressor map:

www.grapeaperacing.com

If it's not there, swing by your local libray and pick up "Maximum Boost" by Corky Bell. It's a good entry level turbo book. Once you know how to read a compressor map, and can figure the airflow of your engine, check out www.turbonetics.com for some popular turbo compressor maps. You should be able to figure out exactly what turbo(s) would suit you best.
