Just like the subject says. The idea of picking one up is floating around in my head.

Most people usually pick up 2lbs - 3lbs of boost.

Yep. If you've ever seen how much the rubber elbows suck in under boost, you'd definitely believe it.

That is an accurate number. I just pulled out my last dyno sheets and I showed 8.38 psi of boost at 5900 rpms and I am running the stock 6 psi pulleys with the Brad Brand tube.

I'm not sure where to get a Brad Brand intake tube but Mufflex sells one or you could always fab up on yourself.

I bought some mandrel bent tubing from www.mandrelbending.com and fabbed up this
www.geocities.com/marcs94z28/4inchinlettube.html

Brett (SCZ28) fabbed up his using PVC tubing from Home depot.

It's cheaper if you make your own.

I bought the Brad Brand tube from Atlanta Chassis Dyno. Give them a call they should have them. It is a good quality piece.

That's for the ATI. The brad brand is for the vortech I believe.. there are a lot of somewhat odd size bends in the vortech one which would make it more difficult to make yourself.. but I have a welder and some free time, so I might attempt to make one myself.

I'm not sure what the size of the intake hole is at the impeller on a Vortech but ATI's is 4" and then you have to reduce it to 3½" if you're going to run the MAF on the intake side, I'm running a Speed Pro (F.A.S.T) system so it's 4" all the way for me

Marc,
Did you retain a small portion of the orange flex hose near the blower? Nice air filter, do you have the part number for that? I am going to get off my *** and finally make one of these.
Thanks
Ed

Ed,
Thanks
Yup, still got the orange hose but it only makes the quick hard turn and then it's solid tube all the way.

If the spirit moves me when it's warmer out (freaking cold out here in New England) I'm going to try and get rid of the orange hose...again it's a time item and I got larger issues in life right now

The K&N part number for the filter is RE-0860

Here is a link to Brett's (SCZ28) as he made a homeade intake out of PVC http://members.aol.com/eplbrc/Finished_Intercooler
