Thanks Jose, that is really what I wanted to hear. Sounds like I might be one of the PTK owners on this site in about 6 months to a year. (I hope)

What is everyones take on A2A vs A2W? I talked to some friends of mine that spoke highly of A2W just as Highlander has.

I've said this many times, the A2W setup is just as good for daily driving, as long as you use a good heat exchanger. At the track its not contest. Drop some ice cubes in, and watch those IAT's drop.

FINALLY... but some mechanical engineers disagree and say that air cools better JAJAJAJAJAJA then ask porsche why their cars are watercooled :P:P

Hmm its widely known water has a much higher specific heat value than air. Heck air only has a specific heat value of 1.01 (at a CP), while water is 4.18. Basically for each degree increase, the same mass of water can absorb four times more energy than air. Their really should be no arguement as to which is better for cooling. Same principal as why we use liquid radiators and not air cooled engines.

not to mention the density of water vs the density of air

I plan to add a large front mount heat exchanger to my system. Will bascially look like a big A2A IC...hehe.

Well i have a copper one that is about the size of 2 120mm PC fans... it has worked great in conjunction with the vortech.. but i will be making a better one copper.... that replaces it with my new kit...

I have a huge A2W now.

I thought the problem with A2W is that the water can't disipate the heat that well after it's warmed up.

No, it will dissipate heat just as quick. Do a search on heat exhangers on google, or yahoo. Their is tons of info and equations as well as lab report results from heating of water and cooling using the exhangers.

The thing is that the mojority of the aftercooler systems are track setup... so they ONLY use ice and no radiator for ease of use...

Now.. the vortech unit comes with a radiator... and the only downside is that there is no fans (which i will adapt) to them... but still... Its no different than any other system...

The extreme Personal Computers use water cooling also

Jose, where is the radiator or does it not come with one? I'm looking at your pic http://forcedinductions.com/images/ptk/PTK7.jpg

It wasn't in that picture, since it and the fans arrived 1 day later.

Oh, the new fans go on the front of the rad instead of the back... interesting. I guess it needs the space for the head unit. I assume there's a second fan under the water radiator, can't see it in the picture.

Would you run some antifreeze in there for the winter?
