how to connect exhaust outlet to this turbo, pic inside



the exhaust outlet on my turbo looks like that. Do I buy something like this??




And if I do get something like that would welding a steel piece to a cast iron piece be alright?

Judging by the pic's they appear to still be setup for slip fit discharge.

You can weld steel to cast, but it requires a specific filler with high nickle content.

You're really better off sending it to someone like Turbonetics, or Limit Engineering to have it done. As they do it all the time, and have the correct welding filler/setup to do it right.

If you know how to weld pretty good, you can weld the flange on the t-housing yourself, just get all the v-band pieces from a reputable turbo company.
