hotcam and turbo?

just curious how a hotcam will work with a turbo set up, i know its not the best cam for a turbo but does anyone run a hotcam with a turbo?

Re: hotcam and turbo?

I was told by three different cam tech lines that the stock cam would be better than the Hot Cam with turbos. The extra exhaust overlap on the HC would be fine with a SC.

I took my HC out and put the stock cam back in. Haven't been back to the dyno but it doesn't seem to have lost anything.

And a "correct" turbo cam should be worth 60-100 hp over the stocker, maybe more at higher boost levels.

Re: hotcam and turbo?

Well Just to let you know i had both a hot cam and stock cam. On the stock cam i got 539rwhp. I decided to try and use the hot cam and on the same dyno jet i pulled 690 but that was on a 355 rebuilt motor. However turbo spools quicker with the hot cam.
