I would give the guys at Combination Motorsports a call. They can probably set you up with everything you need for not too much more than the Hotcam kit. You can see the cam in my sig. It's a nice cam, sounds good and makes good power for blower cars. I'm running a bigger Comp cam in the 383 I'm building a 227/239. The hot cam is a good cam but not optimal for a blower car.

Re: HotCam with ATI?

Most of my blower cams were ground on a 110 deg intake center line. This seams to move the rpm range to the low side, but, 110 degrees allows for better cylinder filling. I did not like the comp cam I had 215/ 222 I/E duration, so I called cam motion. This is the fourth cam I shall install and it is 231/ 240 I/E with approx .550 lift. 144lsa 110 deg intake centerline. They say it will move the power to 3K to 6.5k rpm.

Re: HotCam with ATI?

There is no "magic" L/S for blower cars. Guys go wider to reduce camshaft overlap. A small duration cam on a 110 or 112 may actaully have less over lap than a big duration cam (>250) on a 114. So in that case it becomes the better Blower cam. Really what it comes down to is event timing. Where the piston is in the cylinder when the valves open and close. Only after you decide on intake and exhaust lobes and map pout the timeing can you pick a L/S for that combo depending on what you want to achieve. The Hot Cam is a good mild cam That works well in a blown application

I agree that the hot cam is a good mild blower cam. Look at my sig. The car wiil run 10s hooked up. I have factory heads and the car wieghs 3500. It is very streetable and is a very good set up. The car spins and I run out of gear. Tha car bounces off the rev limiter as I"m running through the traps. The car ran 11.40 at 122 hitting the limiter well before the end.
