Horsepower estimate
Horsepower estimate
Hey guys im new to the board and was hoping to get some feedback on a new motor that just went into my 68 firebird. Just a few questions,
Engine - GM "010" 357Ci . Arp studded-Aftermarket Main Caps
Bottom End- "Eagle" rotating assembly
Heads- 200cc Canfield Aluminum Ported & Polished
Camshaft- Howards custom roller cam 112 center lobe, 240-250 duration, 580-600 lift.
Compression- 7.9.1 using cometic head gaskets
Carberator- "TheCarbShop" custom 950cfm Blown Thru
Fuel System- Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump and Aeromotive bypass regulator, 1/2 fuel line, 3/8 return.
Blower- ATI F1 @ 15lbs of Boost
Ignition- Msd btm
Intercooler - None
* Any guesses to what kind of horsepower/torque I can expect??
* What about track times? . The car weighs about 3400lbs, TH350, 9inch 4200stall converter, 4:10 gears 28x10.5 Et street tire & 12 bolt rear.

Re: Horsepower estimate
I'm not real familiar with boosted carburetor applications, everything I have researched for forced induction has involved some sort of fuel injection, that being said I would guess somewhere around 700 RWHP and should definately be good for somewhere in the tens if it is tuned correctly.
