home-made supercharger
Well I have to admit this sounds kind of crazy but I was thinking one day and I had an idea. On some mowers there is a blower that takes grass that's been cut from the deck and shoots it back to the bags to fill them up. This is run by a belt off of the mower deck. Just so you know this will go on my tuff truck. i was thinking of hooking this up to the accessories belt and throwing the air right into the intake horn. Would this creat enough airflow to make a difference? What do you think of my redneck idea?

Go buy a gas powered blower and put it under the hood with the pull string run through a hole in the firewall. Just start the blower when you need a kick.
Honestly, I think you're going to expend more power than you're actually going to produce. A centrifigal supercharger uses gears to increase the impeller speed, the lawnmower thing sounds like it just uses a direct pulley drive. FWIW, an impeller inside a supercharger can spin upwards of 50,000 RPM in some cases.
