Garrett turbo charger

What do you think guys about the Garrett turbochargers? Is any way or worth to modify them to use on 94' z28? Does anybody use these turbos? If yes, wich one do you think is good.? How good they are? Reason I ask, I don't have 3K for supercharger, and these turbos around $500. I don't mind to make some modification to bolt it on.

There is a LOT required to get a turbocharger or supercharger on. Buying a $500 turbo may be fine, but most likely it will be small, depending on how much boost you want to run...

Superchargers are cheaper unless you can do a lot of fabrication yourself. Turbos sound cheap - but they nickle and dime you to death VERY fast.

Garrett units are very nice, nothing wrong with them at all. Yes some can be had for about $500, but those are typically T04 series turbos which are typically to small for our motors.

You can find the turbo itself for under $1000...

Turbo $600
wastegate $250
blow off valve $179
intercooler $400
intercooler pipes $200
headers $1350

Then there's fuel and tune as well...
