hole in piston??

so i think i may have popped a hole in my number 6 piston.. i have no compression in that cylinder but i still drove it and built 20 psi... now if there was a hole wouldnt it blow up my dipstick tube or blow out my intake gasket, or something along those lines? when i 1st bought the car it have a half assed PCV system that was filling the crank case full of pressure and it popped my intake gasket... im just at a loss and want to try and figure this out before i go and tare out my power plant. we just relashed the rockers to 1/2 turn past zero lash and the rockers seem to be moving smooth. the motor wont idle and runs like crap currently. its deffinately throwing me for a loop as we havent beat on the car at all except for some very short blurps to 6K to make sure the lash was holding on the valves.
