High impedance injecot limits

Just wondering what you guys have found high impedance injectors to handle? Im building a D1/396 LT1 setup and I hope to make around 600hp at the wheels through a turbo 400. My math tells me with a reasonable fuel pressure that a 75# injector would be ideal but I have heard people tell me that 60's will work Im concerned about not getting enough fuel and having poor efficiency down low and bad idle quality with high impedance 60#'s but it would probably save me a lot of money in buying an impedance converter box. What do you guys think I should do? How much hp/boost can you get away with when using high impedance injectors?

thanks!

From what I have read the bigger injectors get sluggish . I bought the versafueler so I can always go with biggger injectors if need be.

Thanks Lisa33. Just wondering, do you know the duty cycle of the injectors? Think they had any more left in them? I doubt my bottom end or blower will take/make any more power than 600whp but it would be nice to have a fuel system that leaves a little room to grow.

Crazycat, the versa fueler was exactly what I was looking at for a low impedance setup. Looking at many 60# high impedance injectors like FAST, it seems like the versa fueler is the way to go as I can get the box with 8 75# injectors for maybe 100-150 more than 8 FAST 60# injectors.

79lbs/h high z.. these are what i plan on runing

they flow 82 on gas.. 79 on e85

cheaper than buying the versafueler and low z injectors.

I have looked at a few old logs (was back in 2004) and i cant remember wich logg that are 600rwhp but they are all in the 90-100% area.
So there wasent any more to give.

I put 62 lb/hr high impedence injectors in my PWC and cut the pulsewidth using an AEM F/IC. The thing starts, idles, and responds just like stock.

If the 79's were available when I built my Z28, I would have used them rather than going with the 84's low impedence injector run by the versafueler.

Just an FYI

I switched to 83lb with injector driver and started having lean tip in stumble... I did a search and found many other people with the same problem and no amount of proper tuning could make it go away.

I eventually realized lowering the injector flow rating considerably (83 to 65) and leaning out the VE tables, startup tables, etc to compensate cured the lean tip in but it's not the "correct" fix.

Few others had the same problem and this fixed it for them as well..

Just wanted to bring this up incase you have luck like I do.. ha
