Help! Rear mount turbo exhaust issues. Changed diameter.
Need your help guys. 97 rear mount LT1. Previously had long tubes, ORY, 3" back to the turbo. To help spool time, I went back to stock manifolds, stock style y pipe, then went with 2.5" all the way back. Now, I'm getting huge vibrations through the tranny and car when I rev past 2500rpms, and it's louder than ever. At idle she sounds perfect. No leaks anywhere. I did not use mandrel bends over the axle, my buddy did an awesome job but there are a few kinks.
My question. Is the loud exhaust coming from turbulence from the kinks, and should I try mandrel bends? Or should I say screw it and put the 3" back on after the stock manifolds and y pipe? It will still spool way better with the stock manifolds and the aftermarket y pipe, even if I do put 3" back on. And where the heck is that vibration coming from? I'm getting frustrated, please help.
Thanks,
Danny

I would double check where your y pipe connects to the i pipe. If it's not tight that would cause your vibration and a loud exhaust when accelerating.
Also make sure your transmission mount isn't broken.
